Morphological Characterization of Sixty Mango (Mangifera indica) Germplasm of Bangladesh

A study was conducted in the research field of Regional Horticulture Research Station, Bangladesh Agricultural Institute, Chapainawabganj to know morphology 60 germplasm mango leaf, inflorescence, flower and fruits. great morphometric variation observed leaf. The inflorescences were pyramidal or conical form except for Khudikhirsha, Narikeli Himsagor which cylindrical. ratio hermaphrodite male flowers showed variation. Fruit characters like length, breadth, weight colour studied. highest fruit length found Fazli (760 g 15.17 cm) lowest recorded Modhuchoski (128.50 g). Variation also among germplasm. percentage Total Soluble Solid (TSS) khodikhirsapat (24.33%) maximum stone (69.87g) Fazli. longest Ashwina (13.03 cm). breadth (9.87 present investigation has established that morphological can be used as a tool taxonomic discrimination varieties Mangifera indica.
